“It was a terrific experience and I had a great time. But a few things happened that I did not find right,” Shiv Thakare said.

Following his appearance in the show Bigg Boss, Shiv Thakare became quite popular among Indian viewers. While he earlier took part in MTV Roadies Rising and Bigg Boss Marathi, it was his stint on the Salman Khan-hosted show that rose him to prominence. Later, he also appeared on shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, besides starting his entrepreneurial projects. While his appearances on popular TV shows have made him a fan favourite, there have also been times when Shiv Thakare felt disappointed about his work.

One such instance is his elimination from the dance reality show before making it to the Top 5. In a recent conversation with ETimes, Shiv opened up about his Jhalak journey and shared that he was not happy with the results and felt that it was “unfair.”

Mentioning that he isn’t the one who gets affected by victory or defeat, Shiv Thakare said, “Whether I win or lose, it is fine either way. For me, what matters is my journey on the show. If I am able to win 10 people, I will be very happy. With God’s grace, a lot of people love me. There are things that I am learning about the industry. The definition of right or wrong that we learned in books is not applicable in the real world. Thus, my focus will always remain on my work and on moving forward in life.”

Further speaking about his elimination from the dance reality show, Shiv shared that while the makers were right on their part, a few things were done to bring TRP to the show.

“A few things happened on the show that were beyond my principles. The makers were right on their part as a few things are done just for TRP. Jhalak is not just restricted to dancing but is an entertainment show. It was a terrific experience and I had a great time. But a few things happened that I did not find right. I tried to convey to them. I was very confused as I was not able was able to make them understand. Later I lost my interest. I was never worried about victory, I just wanted to live the moment and enjoy the journey,” he added.
