PCOS is a condition where the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of Androgen leading to cyst formation in the ovaries. Menstrual irregularity, acne formation, obesity and mood swings are some of the symptoms of PCOS. In PCOS, avoiding certain food items can help in managing the symptoms. “This lifestyle is actually not as restrictive as it seems, especially with food. You’ll see in the meal plan that we are still able to have the meals we enjoy… we’re just swapping out the ingredients that may be triggering our symptoms with PCOS friendly alternatives,” wrote Dietitian Tallene Hacatoryan.
